On Avenue A in Manhattan there is a very special vegan Italian restaurant. Soda Club.
The pasta is perfect.
We came on a double date and did the pasta tasting, which is six courses of pasta and a bottle of wine. If there were such a thing as too much pasta this would come in just under it. Landing in that sweet spot between “I can't eat another bite” and “ooh they have tiramisu!” Bliss.
It is a joy. Very romantic. Great for friends or a double date too.
Recently a friend of ours visited a friend of theirs in Italy. Our friend was really taken by how Italians sit and talk for hours over dinner. When they expressed this observation their friend replied, “and what's funny is 90% of the time we’re talking about the food!”
This is true of our experience at Soda Club. The wine list is excellent, the food delicious, and the past tasting is an adventure - Giving us so much to talk about and enjoy.
If you are not drinking wine they also have house sodas - we gave the carrot cake soda a taste and loved it.
